I got a touch of uncanny valley, it gave me dodgy kick starter vibes the first few times I watched it. The more I watch the more I can see some of the breathtaking advancements. Overall 2025 seems fair based on what I just watched. i.imgur.com/O6LLQgM.png

I am from America and a GeN-xer(so I might be really out of touch) and have been to many Tom Petty( and I am very bias, Tom Petty is one my favorite musicians) concerts and Tom Petty is from the Florida and i think the music is great.

This game looks sooo good. The wait was so long. but it's just so disappointing and frustrating knowing that it's not coming to pc on release.

Gotta agree, this is another poor trailer from Rockstar. It started in a interesting way and then just went downhill. Not to even mention, that music doesn't correspond with huge part of the video. This is what I knew will happen, whole thing is so similar to GTA V, that it feels like a DLC or if you prefer GTA V E&E&E. Just compare this trailer to GTA V #1 Trailer or GTA IV #1 Trailer

I feel your concerns; on other hand, I expected something like SaintsRowReboot (but with loads of bullshit politicking); maybe R* will pull it off after all...

My problem with the trailer are for the reasons I explain below. I'll quote some of posts from the other forum. dourvas did a better job explaining the reasons for the up-close cameras and the social commentary.
As social commentary I understand what's going on, I was just hoping for a trailer that was more in line with older ones. So, moving on with my view of the trailer:
There are many cuts that don't have a consecutive cut that follow the same action. When you have at least two consecutive cuts it is easier to understand what's happening. A lot of the shots are up-close or try to mimic tiktok like it was filmed from a phone (that's why I think this was made to watch on a smartphone - also I don't watch tik tok that much, so that has an influence on me).
It's too fast between cuts and has too many things happening that you can't focus. You need to pause the video to understand what's going on, eg: The scene with people on the beach, the flying shot from the sea to city, the aerial shot from the Keys... there's so much going on that you could make more cuts to show the events happening in those shots individually. Maybe they didn't want to make a longer trailer with more cuts/shots so decided to cram as much as they could in them. Some of them are hard to watch because they are blurry/noisy and because of the effects used (eg: prision fence), or because of the way they were taken (eg: the flying shot from the sea to the city: it starts with the camera looking down and it rotates up. I was trying to follow that move but my neck and eyes felt constrained. Again too much going on on that scene, and it feels stuttery. That shot didn't feel comfortable to watch).
I still like GTA 5's trailer alot because, again, you have better sense of continuity between cuts.
I like GTA 4's "Things will be different" trailer, there's a sense of unity throughout the trailer. The tones, monologue, music and the transitions feel right. Even when it speeds up during the time lapse, there is a sense of continuity between cuts because the way the sun/light moves creates a continuity between cuts (Your eyes follow the light) and it matches the climax of the music.

I miss the time when employees voluntarily stayed late because they wanted to push the game they were developing to the limit.sometimes even spent nights and weekends just to get the code running. Now the workers even get paid for overtime or can use the hours for other days. R* employees (or the world in general) are becoming more and more woke p*ssys, they cry because they cant work from home anymore.... lol welcome to the business life. In every category of work there are people who have to work overtime, sometimes even 6-7 days a week. (myself included) If you don't like it, quit and don't cry. lets hope they have enough passion to bring it to the end
